In Loving Memory of Diana Muller

It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing on February 9, 2022 of a beloved member of our GRR family, our colleague and friend Diana Muller. Throughout her nearly 25 years at GRR, Diana touched and taught all of us.

From a personal point of view, Diana loved life and all it had to offer. She shared that love of life with each of us and forever impressed us with her wealth and breadth of knowledge in every subject. There was nothing Diana did not have thoughts about, and her travels around the world (to places no one else had been) gave her the unsurpassed ability to speak on every subject and to converse with everyone about anything. Her boundless energy impressed all of us and made each of us strive to be like her. She always had a kind word for everyone and she went out of her way to make each of us feel special, especially when we needed support. We were her family too. Everyone at GRR feels very fortunate to have known Diana, and deeply mourns her loss.

Professionally, Diana was recognized by her colleagues throughout the world as the consummate trademark lawyer, with a profound knowledge of trademark law and practices. To the very end, she was at the forefront of her practice, respected the world over for her brilliant ideas, often developing creative strategies to protect the trademarks, names, likenesses and indicia of her numerous clients. Those clients included the Who’s Who of trademarks – world-recognized celebrities, athletes, restaurants, large and small organizations and the makers of all sorts of luxury goods. Diana particularly loved sports and many of her articles and lectures focused on the protection of the trademarks and likenesses of famous sports personalities and sports-related merchandise including athletic footwear.

Diana will be sorely missed by all her colleagues and by her many clients and friends.

We offer our deepest condolences to Diana’s entire family: her devoted husband Roberto, her children Karina, Alex, and Daniel, her daughters-in-law Maya and Ila, and her beloved grandson Simon.

We appreciate everyone’s support during this very sad and difficult time.

May her memory be for a blessing.
